  • How to apply for licenses through the electronic services website
    By selecting the required service and entering its link using the national authentication account for Qataris or the smart card for both residents and QatarisAnd choosing the company for which a license is to be obtained

  • How can I obtain appropriate services?
    If you know exactly what you are looking for, continue searching and type the service name in the search bar at the top of the page. If you have ambiguities about what you are looking for, you can use the advanced search feature or browse the services provided for each category.

  • How long does it take to complete orders?
    Depending on the type of service, the Ministry of Culture provides a notification service by sending a text message or by e-mail for the service applicant to follow up on the submitted request

  • What documents are usually required?

  • Do I need to register as a user on Hukoomi?
    Yes, there must be an account for the user on Hukoomi to benefit from the services provided by the Ministry of Culture through the electronic portal and the mobile application, in order to be able to log in through the national authentication portal.

    Logging in is done by using a smart card reader, then choosing the type of user, individual or company

  • Can a resident obtain licenses?
    Only a Qatari citizen can and a resident can apply for a license if there is a Qatari partner

  • Can a Qatari citizen under the age of 21 obtain a license?
    A Qatari citizen under the age of 21 cannot obtain a license but he can be a partner for Qatari citizen who is over 21 years old

  • Is it possible to apply for a license or any procedure from outside Qatar?
    The e-services portal of the Ministry of Culture and Sports works only within the borders of the State of Qatar

  • Can I apply for a license to use a mobile phone?
    The Ministry of Culture application can be used to apply for a license, but only for Qataris

  • What is the period for applying for a license renewal?
    The duration of the license is one year from the date of its issuance. A renewal application can be submitted one month before the end of the license and within 60 days of the license’s end

  • What happens to the license 60 days after the license expires?
    60 days after the end of the license, the license cannot be renewed. Only a new application is submitted for re-issuance with the same first-time issuance fee in the licenses for the Department of Publications and Artistic Works.

  • Can the license be renewed for more than one year?
    The license cannot be renewed for more than one year

  • Can the license be assigned?

  • After obtaining the approval and before paying the fees, can the application be canceled?
    In the event of approval and before paying the fees, the application can be withdrawn and the fees not paid, and the application becomes canceled

  • Can fees be refunded after obtaining the license and unwillingness to practice the activity?
    The paid fees are not refundable after obtaining the approval and paying the fees. They are not refundable and cannot be replaced by another license

  • Can the license be canceled?

  • How to pay the fees?
