Biography
Al-Khansa Public Library is the first women’s library in Qatar, established in 1981. It houses approximately 42,934 books in Arabic and around 5,091 books in English. The library’s mission is to provide diverse information resources and bibliographic services to intellectuals and scholars in the region. In addition to offering external book lending services to its members, the library regularly hosts cultural activities, lectures, and welcomes school visits to educate students about the importance of libraries and how to use them effectively.
