Biography

The idea of establishing the Qatari Publishers and Distributors Forum emerged from the support and sponsorship of the Ministry of Culture for the publishing and distribution movement in the State of Qatar, both locally and internationally. This initiative aims to enhance the professional journey of Qatari publishers and distributors amid the establishment of numerous publishing and distribution houses. The forum represents this cultural sector locally, regionally, and internationally in relevant organizations such as the Arab Publishers Union and the International Publishers Association. Additionally, it seeks to organize, professionalize, and elevate the publishing industry both professionally and culturally, in line with the Ministry’s vision to support Qatari authors and expand the reach of Qatari books. The forum strives to represent Qatari publishers and distributors at all levels and provides support through the Ministry of Culture to participate in Arab and international forums, festivals, and cultural exhibitions, thereby enhancing the publishing and distribution industry through training programs and ongoing professional development.
