Youth Media Center of the Ministry of Culture participated in training female students of the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies at Qatar University. The Center delivered two workshops. The first, titled “Social Media Account Management”, was led by Mr. Faisal Al-Haythami. It focused on the key determinants that enable the participants to manage their personal accounts appropriately without falling into the problems of hacking or loss of data.
Journalist, Shaya Al-Fadil, also led a training workshop entitled “Content Preparation”, dealing with the mechanisms of preparing media television and radio content, starting from choosing the appropriate topic to presenting it to the audience of viewers and listeners.
The field training project for female students, which is implemented by the Institutional Communication and Training Department at Wijdan Cultural Center, in partnership with Qatar University, is one of the strategic projects. This is because of the pioneering role played by Qatar University in society, as well as the importance of the target group, since the student category is considered a key building block for the progress of society.
The program continues in its fourth year with the current cohort (Spring 2022), and receives two cohorts annually from the students of the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies at Qatar University. The program aims to equip students with the practical and cognitive skills that would help them raise their level of readiness for the labor market, through theoretical and practical training, and to propose projects that would serve the community.
It should be noted that the training program lasts 12 weeks, from 30 January to 28 April 2022. The training program has completed a total of 240 training hours, spread over four days a week, on the basis of 5 hours a day. 31 students from the following departments joined the project for the current cohort: Quran and Sunnah, Dawah and Media, Faith and Dawah, Islamic Studies, Management and Economics, and Arabic Language.
