A big thank you for the Minster and the managers of the “Season”:  @jassimsalman @ahjh_althani.

This tweet received a great deal of interaction by a large number of social media users who considered this “Season” a true enrichment of the cultural scene; as it is the first cultural and intellectual event of its kind through which the Ministry of Culture aims to spread the culture of diversity and give the community elite intellectuals, thinkers and graduates opportunities to promote the local intellectual environment, in addition to the Ministry’s endeavor through the same season to establish an intellectual environment that promotes the role of culture and intellectuals at the service of society.

The first seminar of this “Season” is scheduled to begin tomorrow at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (Arab Center for Research and Policy Study). It is entitled “Human or Local Identities?: Culture and Multiple Identities in the Gulf.” The Ministry announced on its Twitter account that the guests of this seminar are: Mr. Abdul Aziz al-Khater, Dr. Ismael al-Nashif, and Mr. Hassan al-Rumaihi.

Moreover, eight events are scheduled to be hosted during the “Seminars Season”, with more than 30 researchers and university professors participating as well as a number of media professionals and specialists; whose contributions and inputs will enrich the discussion and dialogue between them and those attending the events. This is by raising intellectual issues related to heritage and the present times, which in turn enhances the identity of the society.
