The Qatari Forum will hold a weekly “Writer and Book” session to discuss the book “The Tacit Format in the Qatari Novel” by its author Mursal Al-Dawwas, tomorrow, Tuesday, 6:00 pm, in the Baitul-Hikma Hall at the Ministry of Culture and Sports. This research presented by Al-Dawwas in his Master’s thesis explores the importance of cultural and social systems in Qatari narratives and the most prominent contents that touch on the Qatari reality at all levels. The writer states that the creations of Qatari novelists are not limited to monitoring reality and interacting with it, and contributing to its correction or diagnosis, but rather exceeds the quantitative and reporting aspect to the creative and artistic side, and to mastery of narration tools and techniques. The writer discussed a sample of the cultural and social patterns presented by Qatari novelists, which come in the context of their accompaniment to the global and local transformations, and their contribution to highlighting the civilized aspect of their homeland, and the disclosure of the cultural repository of the cultural renaissance in the State of Qatar.
