The Theater Affairs Center takes part in the Fourteenth International Puppet Festival hosted by Izmir city, Turkey in the period 5-11 March, with participating presentations from 16 countries. Artist Salah Al Mulla, Director of the Center said that the Center’s affiliate theatre group “Puppet Space” will present three performances for the play “My Cloid” at the festival. The script is written by Reem Mohammad Behzad, and the performance is directed by Maya Karktman and Reem Behzad. On the other hand, various puppet performances from 16 states will participate in the festival; including performances from Turkey, Qatar, Belgium, Austria, Britain, Spain, Finland, France and Germany. “My Cloud” performance is about an autistic little girl who face some difficulties in communicating with her family. At the time when we see the girl is hyper-sensitive; we see that the mother couldn’t treat her properly. The mothers keeps looking for a way to communicate with her daughter, until she finds this way through the crayon she puts in her daughter’s toy box. Here; the girl grabs the crayon and starts to express herself through drawings.
