The Cultural Committee of Qatar Club, in cooperation with the Theater Affairs Center, under the supervision of the Youth Affairs Department of the Ministry of Culture, organized a theatrical workshop for the artist Ibrahim Lary, where the workshop was managed by Ali Al-Ghawas Al-Marri, Coordinator of the Cultural Committee, and the preparation and organization of Dr. Ahmed Mustafa Salem, General Supervisor of the Cultural Committee.

In this context, Mohamed Sultan Fakhru, Chairman of the Cultural Commission, noted that the workshop had seen a presentation and analysis of the elements of the theatre, the most important of which was the production, which was the main driver of the theatre work, controlling all the components and details of the theatre. The person involved in the production was called “the director,” he is the person follows the theatrical performance before it is presented to people. He works on distributing acting roles to actors, and is keen to guide them in the appropriate ways to represent theatrical scenes, by relying on his experience in theatrical directing.

Decoration is the physical element of the theatre that accepts change during the theatrical presentation. The decoration includes all the composite elements that can be transported, remodeled, and the decoration is usually found behind the actors during the performance of the theatrical role, or on the stage, such as pieces of furniture, paintings or other elements. The decoration must contain all the components associated with the nature of the play.

Actors are all individuals who apply the text of the play in all its details through the use of dialogue, body movements, voices, and other means that help them transform the written text into a real reality in which the actors interact with each other. The theatre elements associated with the actors are: The stage on which they perform, and the backstage on which the actors sit, and in which they prepare to go out to the audience, review their acting roles, and make sure they keep the scenes they’re going to play.

The audience is the individuals who watch the play and interact with its scenes and actors, and they have an important role in the theatrical work. The success of the play depends on the audience’s evaluation of it, through their opinions, in which they express their satisfaction with the performance of the actors, the idea of the play, and the way it is presented to them.

The theater hall is the element in which the audience is present in the play, and the hall contains a set of seats whose distribution depends on the space allocated to the theater hall, and some types of theaters also contain balconies for the theater, in which the audience sits on the upper floors directly overlooking the stage.
