The Qatari Forum of Authors presented its nineth episode of the “Morals of the Prophet, peace be upon him” Program to shed light on the biography of the Prophet Mohamed peace be upon him and his valuable companions, and get inspired by the manners and lessons of the Prophet`s morals, peace be upon him, Within the activities of Doha event, the capital of culture in the Islamic world.
The ninth episode of the program, prepared by Professor Muhammad Al-Shabrawi, and presented by the interviewer Salem Al-Jahouchi, focused on the topic (The Prophet`s Kindness to Animals), which clarified that Islam honors the human being, the Caliph of God on Earth. his way of dealing with creatures around him was determined in the Almighty’s saying” there is no animal on the earth, nor a bird that flies with its wings, but nations like you”, this means that they have rights as you have, O children of Adam, and you have to observe them; This leads to a dignified life in an environment of public interest and the realization of landscaping.
The Prophet, peace be upon him put the foundations of the Muslim’s handling of the environment, not for the benefit of his Muslim brother in a narrow scope, but for the general benefit. Then a bird, or a person, or an animal eats from it, except that it is a charity for him, which shows that your benefit to creation in general and its release is good for you, and the Muslim is like the rain wherever he falls, he is beneficial to others and is rewarded by God Almighty for that, it is recommended in that he raises to others the slogan (We only feed you for the sake of God, we desire neither reward nor thanks from you.) And then the saying of his Lord is fulfilled in him (so they turned with grace from God and bounty).
He pointed out that this credit was due to their generosity for nations created by God and mentioned in his book. (Nothing have we omitted from the Book) Rather, he honored it with some of the names of the Holy Surahs of Revelation, such as the cow, the bee, the ant and the elephant, and benevolence to these creatures has a great reward (do good; for Allah loveth those who do good).
Al-Jahouchi stressed that Islam is a preponderant of protecting animal rights and not offending animals, plants, and even the environment from global warming, climate change and so on. Citing the hadith of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, about preserving animal life: “While a man was walking he felt thirsty and went down a well and drank water from it. On coming out of it, he saw a dog panting and eating mud because of excessive thirst. The man said, ‘This (dog) is suffering from the same problem as that of mine. So he (went down the well), filled his shoe with water, caught hold of it with his teeth and climbed up and watered the dog.”, pointing out that the Prophet’s narration of the details in the hadith to encourage us to be gentle with all that God created, but the direct and implicit messages of the honorable hadith are not over yet, he says prayers of God Peace be upon him, a story about a man after he watered a dog, “So God thanked him, and he forgave him.” The people asked, “O Allah’s Apostle! Is there a reward for us in serving (the) animals?” He replied, “Yes, there is a reward for serving any animal.”
He added that the Prophet, peace be upon him, urged kindness to animals, and he conveyed to us the news of a woman who entered Hell because of a cat that she caught; Neither did she feed her, nor did she let her eat the vermin of the earth. That warns us and alerts us not to offend God’s creatures and to avoid hurting them in any way. At the conclusion of his speech, he emphasized that the law of the Prophet, peace be upon him came as a mercy to the worlds, in accordance with his saying (and We have not sent you except as a mercy to the worlds), and that happiness is in following his approach and the mercy of God’s creation, so that we may enter into the mercy of God Almighty.
