His Excellency Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al-Thani, Minister of Culture, affirmed that the 31st edition of Doha International Book Fair opened new horizons for knowledge and creativity.

His Excellency wrote on his Twitter page: “Today, Doha International Book Fair concludes its 31st edition, and as we wrap up, we consolidate the localization of the book for its great importance, as it opens new horizons for knowledge and creativity,” adding: “The journey of the culture of our dear homeland continues and it shall persist.”

The exhibition’s activities conclude today at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, which were launched under the slogan “Science is Light” during a ten-day period that saw the participation of thirty-seven countries.

The exhibition was organized by the Ministry of Culture, represented by the Qatar Center for Cultural and Heritage Events. The Ministry was keen to organize an impressive edition of the book fair distinguished at all levels, whether in terms of the accompanying cultural events or by designing the exhibition’s various pavilions.
