The Theater Affairs Center is preparing to participate in the activities of the Ramadan Book Fair, organized by the Ministry of Culture in its second edition during the period from March 30 to April 5 at Darb Al-Saai headquarters. Where the artist, Hadya Saeed, and the artist, Munther Thani, will meet the children in the “Hazawi Ramadan” event, which is a Ramadan precursor that tells children stories from the Qatari Ramadan heritage. This event is an extension of the success achieved by the “Hazawi, the Hadya Saeed” event, which was presented by the center as part of the National Day activities in Darb Al-Saai, through which the artist was able, in her distinctive folklore style, in the traditional tale of sideburns, to attract a large segment of children and adults. Ramadan Book Fair, in its second edition, has the distinguished participation of 79 publishing houses and libraries (of which 18 are publishing houses for children’s books). Foreign publishing houses from 14 countries: Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Kuwait, Egypt, Jordan, UAE, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Tunisia, Algeria, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia. The Ministry of Culture has been keen to select distinguished publishing houses from outside the State of Qatar, which are specialized in various fields of knowledge. In addition to selecting the best publishers of children’s and young adult books, all aspects of support will be provided to participants from outside Qatar to enhance their participation in the exhibition’s activities, noting that the exhibition will open its doors to visitors daily from 8:00 pm until 12:00 midnight.
