The Friends of the Environment Center launched its online summer activities (I’m exploring 2021) in compliance with the precautionary measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

 

The center offered the first workshop within the program which continues every Monday and Wednesday until next July 14 during the evening period via Teams Platform and the center’s social networking sites.

 

The first workshop talked about “Closed Glass Gardens” and was presented by the trainer and agricultural expert, Rahaf Al-Sheikh, and it achieved large presence and distinguished interaction.

 

Mr. Mubarak Al-Dosari, Head of Activities and Programs Department at the Friends of the Environment Center said, “The summer activity of this year aims at building a balanced personality of students in light of the Islamic faith, discovering and developing their special abilities and skills in various activities (artistic, cultural and social) and helping them acquire talents, developing and demonstrating abilities during the summer activity in addition to raising environmental awareness of the importance of summer activities and participating in them and training students to actively participate in activities and developing a sense of self-confidence and self-reliance.”

He added that the center, in its interest to encourage students to attend and participate in the summer activity, will present certificates of scientific excellence for 15 hours of participation in the environmental field for everyone who attended the full workshops and worked on the completion of four environmental works that simulate the workshops offered and address the topics included in them.
