Under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Abdulrahman Bin Hamad Al Thani, Minister of Culture, the Ministry’s Media Center organized a graduation ceremony for the first batch of the “Clacket Challenge” initiative launched by the Center for the training of people with disabilities in the media sector; in the form of a series of training workshops in cooperation with the Center of Excellence for Training and Consulting of the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies. In this context, Mr. Ali Saleh Al-Sada, Deputy Director of the Media Center, stressed that this initiative poses a challenge to the Media Center, praising the members of this initiative who have made great efforts to explore media and its world. Al-Sadah also explained that the Center has a future program plan through which it seeks to strengthen its cooperation with various governmental entities, taking advantage of its vast experience in the field of media training.
For her part, Ms. Iman Al-Sulaiti, Executive Director of the Financial and Administrative Sector at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, said that the “Clacket Challenge” initiative was characterized by the wonderful spirit of cooperation that brought together the Media Center team and the Center of Excellence team. Ms. Al-Sulaiti also explained that the participation of the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, represented by the Center of Excellence for Training and Consulting, in this initiative, comes out of a belief in the role of this social group in the development of society, stressing the Institute’s readiness to participate in all initiatives and training programs that contribute to honing the skills and developing the talents and capacities.
Furthermore, plastic artist Mariam Al-Mulla delivered a speech on behalf of the graduates, in which she expressed her thanks and appreciation to those supporting this initiative, pointing out that this initiative is a landmark by the Media Center and the Center of Excellence.
At the end of the graduation ceremony, certificates were distributed to the participants, while trainers and the organizing team were honored. Commemorative shields were also exchanged between the Media Center and the Center of Excellence.
It is worth mentioning that the “Clacket” initiative is a challenge event launched by the Media Center of the Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the Center of Excellence of the Doha Institute, and is dedicated to people with disabilities. The initiative is presented through the provision of a series of media courses for the purpose of development and qualification in media sectors.
