Qatar Social and Cultural Center for Blind (QSCCB), in the presence of a number of blind and visually impaired members, recently participated in the special screening of Amin Nayfeh’s 200-meter film, as part of the “Palestinian Voices” series, organized by the Doha Film Institute (DFI) in cooperation with the Translation and Interpreting Institute (TII), part of Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), and screened at the Katara Cultural Village Drama Theatre. The center is keen to participate in such events that work to spread culture and awareness among its members, and in support of the Palestinian cause by watching films that show the painful reality through stories written by Palestinians through which they enhanced human compassion for everyone who watches them, noting that during the screening, the audio description service for the blind was provided by Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) to emphasize the right of people with visual disabilities to access visual content, as the center appreciates these efforts, which are in line with its goal to overcome the obstacles that Facing the blind and enhancing their access to cultural content in all its forms.
