The State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Culture, hosted the sixth meeting of the joint cultural cooperation between the Cooperation Council and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, represented by the Human and Environmental Affairs Sector – Department of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities.

Members of the Cultural Committee in Qatar, the rest of the GCC countries and Jordan participated in the meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the Doha International Book Fair in its thirty-second session. The Ministry of Culture was represented by Mrs. Maryam Yassin Al-Hammadi, the Director of the Culture and Arts Department at the Ministry of Culture.

During the meeting, the decisions of the joint committee of senior officials in the ministries of foreign affairs in the GCC countries and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan were reviewed, as well as the decisions of the ministers of culture in the GCC countries in their twenty-sixth meeting, regarding joint cooperation with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Besides, many related topics were discussed, among the most prominent of these was the coordination of positions and attitudes between the GCC countries and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and their support in the international organizations and forums, coordination on upcoming joint cultural cooperation plans, promotion and promotion of diversity and cultural heritage, and promotion of creative industries.

Besides, the participants in the meeting reviewed the future strategy in support of joint cultural action.

Within the same context, the Ministry of Culture hosted the fifth meeting of joint cultural cooperation between the Cooperation Council and the Kingdom of Morocco, in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, represented by the Human Affairs and Environment Sector – Department of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities.

Members of the Cultural Committee from Qatar, the Cooperation Council and Morocco participated in the meeting, during which the decisions of the joint committee were reviewed by senior officials in the ministries of foreign affairs in the GCC countries and the Kingdom of Morocco, as well as the decisions of the GCC ministers of culture at their twenty-sixth meeting regarding joint cooperation with the Kingdom of Morocco.

Moreover, many related topics were also discussed, the most prominent of which was coordination of attitudes between the GCC countries and the Kingdom of Morocco and their support in the international organizations and forums, a draft memorandum of understanding between the two sides, coordination on upcoming joint cultural cooperation plans, promotion of diversity and cultural heritage, promotion of creative industries, and exchange of experiences and experiments to preserve and maintain the cultural heritage and protect it from extinction.

Also, the participants in the meeting reviewed the future strategy in support of joint cultural action.
