Her Excellency Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al-Sulaiti, Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council, visited Darb Al-Saai headquarters in Umm Salal.
She toured the new headquarters of Darb Al Saai, accompanied by His Excellency Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Thani, the Minister of Culture, where she was briefed on a number of heritage and cultural events.
She got acquainted with the activities of Al Shaqab, Darb Al Saai Market, Al Bidaa, Al Ezba, art exhibitions at the “Liwan Art” pavilion, the activities of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, and other various events and activities. She also watched a part of the art show, paintings from childhood heritage, “Taq Ya Matar”, which was held at Darb Al Saai Theater.
Her Excellency the Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council praised Darb Al Saai and the activities that are held in it, and stressed that it contributes greatly to highlighting the civilized image of the country in addition to highlighting the authentic heritage and strengthening the national identity, noting that Darb Al Saai represents a cultural and social forum in a wonderful atmosphere, appreciating the efforts it is making. Her Excellency stressed also that the activities hosted by Darb Al Saai are an important attraction factor for everyone who wishes to see the activities of state institutions in addition to the heritage, artistic and literary events, as well as forums, intellectual seminars, poetry evenings and theatrical performances that are held within Darb Al-Saai and aim to provide an image of the bright reality of the State of Qatar and its adherence to with its authentic heritage and customs.
