Submissions Accepted for the “College Poet” Competition

In collaboration with Qatar University, the Qatar Center for Poetry (Diwan Al-Arab) has announced the 2022 “College Poet” Competition. The competition has two categories: Colloquial Arabic poetry and Standard Arabic Poetry, and it is open to Qatari and resident students from civilian and military colleges and universities. The deadline for submissions in January 28. The competition awards total QR 90,000, distributed as follows: the first-place winner will receive QR 50,000, the second-place winner will receive QR 25,000, and the third-place winner will receive QR 15,000. The competition aims to enrich the poetry movement in Qatar, particularly among college students, and it reflects Qatar Center for Poetry’s mission to support poetry and language arts.
