Turkish ambassador in Doha, Mustafa Kuksu, lauded the success of the Doha International Book Fair, despite the conditions imposed by COVID-19. He wished the pandemic would end soon so that he can bring his family.

Kuksu added that while at the fair, he visited the booths of many Arab and international publishers and was quite pleased to see so many books and other publications. He was particularly impressed by the organization of the fair. He wished the 31st Doha International Book Fair success, and wished the organizers more success in future fairs.

Kuksu emphasized the major role played by the Ministry of Culture in ensuring positive outcomes for the fair, similarly to previous years.

Kuksu concluded by noting that the Turkish exhibit at the fair includes 18 Turkish publishers offering a wide range of books, including children’s books. He also explained that the pandemic has made it impossible for more Turkish publishers to participate.
