The State of Qatar participated yesterday in the 22nd session of the Conference of Ministers Responsible for Cultural Affairs in the Arab World, hosted by the United Arab Emirates and organized by the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) in cooperation with ministries of culture in the Arab world.

 

The Qatari delegation was headed by His Excellency Mr. Faleh Al-Ajlan Al-Hajri, Advisor at the Ministry of Culture.

His Excellency said: “The conference will discuss over two days a set of cultural issues, most notably the comprehensive plan for Arab culture and its modernization with the aim of strengthening inter-Arab cultural cooperation with world cultures, and unifying Arab efforts in the field of culture.”

 

He continued: “The conference will discuss the unification of Arab efforts to develop the cultural and creative systems, in addition to elaborating a report on the status and future of the Arabic language, and ways of cooperation to launch and develop new projects in the fields of culture, heritage and the Arabic language.” The Qatari delegation is expected to visit today the pavilion of the State of Qatar at Expo 2020 Dubai to find out about the most important cultural aspects in exhibition and the various programs that provide a comprehensive idea of ​​Qatari culture.

 

It is worth noting that the conference will be attended by a number of Their Excellencies the Ministers of Culture in the Arab world, the Arab League, and an important number of general directors of international organizations and heads of official delegations.
