In this context, the Qatar Foundation is keen to involve the various age groups from all parts of society in these activities, in keeping with its firm role in fostering Arab culture and Islamic heritage, while stressing the importance of promoting cultural identity and being proud of it.

Educational Program
Qatar Foundation’s contributions to the celebrations of Doha, the capital of culture in the Islamic world for the year 2021, witnessed the organization of “the two lighthouses” (Education City Mosque) a program to educate children about the importance of fasting and the moral traits that they must possess as Muslims, in addition to sessions to familiarize them with the meanings of God’s names and their uses as mentioned in The Holy Quran. the two lighthouses also organized workshops to spread the aesthetic of Arabic calligraphy, and more such workshops are scheduled to be held at a later time.
“The two Lighthouses” released a series of films highlighting Muslim scientists who have contributed to the evolution of knowledge in science, mathematics, and medicine.
In turn, the Qur’an Botanical Garden, a member of the Qatar Foundation, invited members of the community to join weekly tours of the Qur’an Botanical Garden Congregations to examine how to preserve these plants for the time being and to preserve this legacy in the future, In addition to launching a competition to reflect on the verses of the Noble Qur’an and the Noble Prophetic hadith to understand the environmental and plant terms mentioned therein.

Among the events presented at the Doha events, the Islamic Capital of Culture, the Doha International Family Institute, a member of the Qatar Foundation, organized a series of seminars on marriage as one of the main components of Arab and Islamic culture. The Qatar Foundation Community Development Team also organized a virtual session on the occasion of the celebration of the Garangao, telling its historical story and highlighting its significance in Qatari culture.
