Presented by Sheikh Muhammad Al-Hammadi – Preacher at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Qatar Social and Cultural Center for Blind (QSCCB) has organized a religious seminar on “the First Ten Days of Dhu al-Hijjah-Virtues and Desirable Deeds”. During the seminar, Sheikh Al-Hammadi outlined how to prepare ourselves and take advantage of these blessed days. “The winner who seizes these days and does not make them pass in vain through persistence in obeying and turning to Allah with sincere repentance, avoids committing sins and dedicates most of time to make a plenty of good deeds ”, he added.
Al-Hammadi also asserted that these virtues are extended to include that Almighty Allah swears by them. He says: “By the dawn, and {by} ten nights”. This refers to the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah by consensus of scholars and successors. Additionally, it was reported that the Messenger of Allah, Peace and Blessings be upon him, said that they are the best days ever among which comes the day of Arafah that is the day of salvation and remission of sins followed by the day of Sacrifice (An-Nahr), as well as being especially characterized by combining all principal acts of worship; i.e. As-Salah, fasting , Az-Zakat and Hajj. “Among righteous deeds to which a Muslim is preferred to be stuck are performing Hajj and Umrah rituals, fasting, As-Salah, praying more frequent voluntary Salawat being considered one of the greatest pious acts, in addition to Takbir (saying Allahu Akbar (Allah is the greatest)), saying (Alhamdulilah (Praise be to Allah)), (La ilaha illallah (There is no god but Allah) and (Subhanallah), charity, reciting and memorizing the Qur’an, seeking forgiveness, treating parents with kindness and maintaining kinship ties”, he aggregated.
