The Qatari forum for authors of the Ministry of culture, in cooperation with the Qatari media center, organized a session at its headquarters on (Palestine between reality and literature. It reviewed the role of literature in highlighting the Palestinian reality.
His Excellency Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Salem Al-Kuwari attended the session , former minister of Health, winner of the Katara prize for Arabic Novel in its ninth session (2023) in the category of Qatari published novel, and Dr. Mohammed Al Yahaya from the Sultanate of Oman, winner of the Katara prize for Arabic novel in its ninth session (2023) in the category of published Arabic novels, writer and researcher in heritage, Ali Al Fayyad, and it was moderated by novelist Jaber Ateeq.
The speakers reviewed the humanitarian dimensions of literature in its various forms, and the role of creativity of Palestinian and Arab writers in promoting the Palestinian cause and keeping its roots alive in the minds and minds of successive generations.
His Excellency Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Salem Al-Kuwari initiated the session by pointing to the strong relationship between resistance and literature, while Dr. Mohammed Al Yahaya stressed in his intervention the need to devote the human dimension to literature, and the writer and researcher Ali Al-Fayyad reviewed examples of the works of the symbols of Contemporary Qatari Eloquent Poetry and Nabati Poetry.
