The Qatari Forum for Authors, affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, announced the postponement of all events planned to be held during this period. The forum attributed this to its affirmation of solidarity with the Palestinian people, and condemnation of the (Israeli) aggression on the Gaza Strip, (and the brutal massacres that have led to the events, provided that we will meet with you soon, asking Allah Almighty to support our brothers in Palestine). As previously scheduled, the forum was going to hold a lecture today entitled (The Development of Political Economy Literature with the Changes of the International System), presented by Dr. Abdul Rahim Al-Hour, via the (Zoom Meeting) program.

Meanwhile, the Qatar Photography Center, affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, announced the allocation of proceeds from a number of paintings from the exhibition “Beyond the Borders – Masai Mara” to support the “For Palestine” campaign, in cooperation with Qatar Charity. The center stated through its account on the “X” platform that (the purchase of these paintings is made directly from the center’s headquarters in the Cultural Village Foundation Katara, building 18).

The center has previously invited the public to visit the exhibition to enjoy watching the works it will present, and to learn about the magical moments and discover the beauty of wildlife and its wonderful stories that shed light on areas beyond Qatar’s borders and shed light on its stories and images. The exhibition opened last week and features 48 works by six Qatari photographers as part of their tour of Kenya’s Maasai Mara National Reserve. The exhibition is the first in a series of exhibitions Beyond Borders that highlight images and stories from areas beyond Qatar’s borders and familiar places.

The participants in the exhibition are Ali Saif Al-Din, Jassim Al-Buainain, Ahmed Al-Fadala, Ali Al-Shamsi, Mohammed Al-Shaabi, Abdullah Al-Muezzin, and the beauty and magic of the wild world were embodied in the exhibition in innovative and different ways, where the images tell stories about wildlife and reflect the beauty and diversity of nature.

It should be noted that several Arab cultural events announced their solidarity with the Palestinian people, and their rejection of the (Israeli) aggression on the Gaza Strip, as the Arab Publishers Union announced its boycott of the Frankcourt International Book Fair, which began yesterday, and Dar Suad Al-Sabah announced its withdrawal from the same exhibition, following the announcement of its director of support for the Zionist attacks on Gaza. The organizing body of the Carthage Film Days also announced the cancellation of all festive events accompanying the 34th edition, scheduled for the 28th of this year, in solidarity with the Palestinian people (and out of respect for their struggles).
