Today, His Excellency Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Thani, the Minister of Culture, honored a group of Qatari innovators in the cultural field, specialists and researchers in the field of antiquities and museums for the year 2023, during the ceremony held at the conclusion of the twenty-seventh meeting of Their Highnesses and Excellencies the Ministers of Culture of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries which was held in the Sultanate of Oman.

The honoring ceremony in the cultural field included His Excellency Dr. Hassan bin Ali Al-Naama, a Qatari poet who holds a doctorate degree from the University of Cambridge in the United States, and has a rich poetic experience that resulted in published and unpublished poems. In addition to the poet Faleh Mubarak Al-Ajlan Al-Hajri, who worked in the field of journalism and presented a number of television programs specialized in poetry and folklore.

In the field of antiquities and museums, Professor Noura Khalaf Al-Hamidi, Head of the Survey and Archaeological Research Department at Qatar Museums, was honored, as well as Mr. Salem Abdullah Al-Aswad, Director of the Educational Department at the agency.

His Excellency Mr. Faleh bin Mubarak Al-Ajlan said on this occasion: “At the beginning, as I stand before you today, I am pleased to express my great happiness and pride in representing my honorable brothers and sisters in this fraternal and cultural meeting, which brings together the leaders of cultural work in our sister Gulf countries, and it is a source of pride.” We are proud to have the honor of honoring the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, appreciating the generous gesture with which the ministries of culture in our countries honored us, so that we stand today on the platform of honor and celebration in appreciation and loyalty from our dear countries for our contribution to the service of culture, knowledge and the arts.
