Al-Jasra Cultural Salon at Al-Jasra Cultural and Social Club, affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, held a poetry event yesterday, titled (Salute to Palestine), in solidarity with the Palestinian people, and it was moderated by the Poet/ Hanan Badie, the salon’s coordinator. The event was performed by a number of poets: Muhammad Hassan Al-Muhammadi, Abdul-Muhayman Al-Muslimani, Mukhles Barzq, and Samir Attia, and the artist Walid Al-Sarhan participated with them in playing. The poets presented a number of their poems that reflected their solidarity with the Palestinian people in the face of the crimes of the occupation, especially in Gaza Strip. The audience interacted with these poems, emphasizing on their part their salute to the Palestinian people in their confrontation with the brutal (Israeli) war machine. The evening culminated in His Excellency Mr. Khalid bin Ahmed Al-Obaidan, Vice Chairman of the BOD of Al-Jasra Club, honouring the poets, in appreciation of them. The evening began with Al Jasra Club’s keenness to highlight its solidarity with the Palestinian people, especially the people of the Gaza Strip, and their historical steadfastness in the face of (Israeli) practices. In turn, the poets expressed their appreciation to Al-Jasra Club for its initiative in supporting Palestine, through this event, which prompted them to choose their latest poems as a salute to Palestine and its people.
